President's Holiday Report, December 2012
John P. Veinot M.D. FRCPC
As we find ourselves in the midst of the Holiday season, I want to take this opportunity to express my warm personal wishes to you, your partners and Families.
As many of us take time to pause, reflect and perhaps catch our breath, we are reminded to focus on the pleasantries and simple joys of life-giving, sharing laughter, smiles, toasts and good cheer with colleagues, friends and Family.
We take a few moments to give thought to where we have been in the past, and we can find a sense of comfort in the challenges and successes each day can bring as we travel our journey, live our lives-individually and in our professional capacity.
As you know, we have a very important and key role to play in the lives of others; we are a necessary and crucial part of the health care system, and of our community. Our work continues day to day, and we know there will be challenges which present to us; we will work together to meet these and maintain our vital and crucial contribution to our patients, and to one another.
This is a time of year to be thankful, rejoice, and strive for peace on Earth and goodwill. May you all be fortunate to enjoy health and happiness, and may the year ahead offer you and those you hold dear every continued success.
Happy Holidays !
